Niacinamide, also known as nicotinamide, is an amide compound of nicotinic acid. Clinically, niacinamide is mainly used to prevent and treat diseases such as pellagra, stomatitis, glossitis, sick sinus syndrome, and atrioventricular block. Niacinamide has the following effects on the skin:
